知積院は京都の東山にあるお寺です。
長谷川等伯という安土桃山時代（1550年～1600年）の高名な絵師の障壁画で有名な寺院です。
生憎国宝の障壁画は撮影禁止になっています。
公開はされています。
本物の絵を見ることはできました。大迫力です。
大きなお寺で沢山の僧侶がいると思われるのですが、今までどこのお寺に参観しても
僧侶の姿は見ることができませんでした。
しかし、此処知積院では非常に幸運であったのか、僧侶がたくさん行き交いました。
何やら式典があったようでした。
