BRUCE/LIAVAAG/HELLE are 3 Norwegian artists who have collaborated for a year, around the concept and theme of the colour blue. They have previously had an exhibition and performance in France, at the Window Gallery last June. Most recently they had an exhibition and performance at Fossekleiva Kultursenter in Norway. They have allowed the artistic process to unfold beyond direct relations to the colour blue, and concentrated their work in different mediums of expressions.
Helle works with video installation, Livaag with performance and video, and Bruce with sculpture and drawing. The common thread and interest in these works, that are a result of the previous studies of blue, are concepts of distance, repetition and utopias. They are interested in exposing different artistic processes and to see what happens in the meeting between different mediums and materials.
Travelling all the way from Norway, these works will now be shown in Kyoto, Japan, at Yōkai SOHO on March 24th from 16:00-21:00. The performances are at 18:00 and 20:00.
