四月末のLAコンサートに向けて、ニックの練習が熱い。ふと見れば窓の外、折り折り人々が坂の途中に足を止め、チェロの音色に耳を傾けている。ニックに手を振ってくれる人もある。たまたま我が家の前で、ガイドさんが観光のお客様をご案内して来られている。
Nick's practice is hot for the LA concert at the end of April. Suddenly, outside the window, people stop in the middle of the slope and listen to the sound of the cello. Some people wave to Nick. A guide is guiding tourists in front of our house.
「夏井いつき先生の伊月庵の隣には、国際的チェリスト、ナサニエル・ローゼン氏が住んでおられます。」と、こんなパンフを使って、ご案内して下さっていた！

私も松山はいくガイドとして、「色里や十歩はなれて秋の風、と正岡子規が詠み、漱石と連れ立って吟行した地です。」と、何度ご案内したことか。道後“上人坂”の歴史に、姉の名の横に、ニックの名を連ねる事が出来たら素晴らしい。ガイドさん達ありがとうございます。応援してます！
I also guided often here as a Matsuyama haiku guide, saying "It’s the Shonin-zaka slope which Shiki Masaoka walked with Soseki Natsume and composed haiku, "autumn wind/ a ten steps away from the Iro-sato (brothel)”.
I’m so happy that Nick's name is next to my sister's name in the history of Shonin-zaka,Dogo. Thank you for the guides. I'm rooting for you!
