落ちて拾われ
電柱に
An orangutan
Was dropped and picked up
Then, put her(him) on the telegraph pole
オランウータンの意味は、マレー語で「森の人」とか。これを初めて知ったとき、オランウータンへのイメージがガラッと変わった記憶があります。このことを知る前は、あのちょっとのほほんとした顔の感じと、腕周りなどの長〜く伸びた毛が印象的な、おっとりしているお猿さん、でした。しかし「森の人」と聞くと、森の中で、自立していて森のあらゆることに熟知していて、森の中を我が住処としている、なんかカッコいい、「人」になりました。
それ以来、「森林伐採」「紙の無駄遣い」が気になって気になって。「森の人」がこの先もずっと、森の中に住み続けられるように、微弱ながら紙のリサイクルなどに協力しています。
Orangutan means sylvan in Malay.
When I knew it, my ideas to orangutan was changed. I thought about them like this... their faces looked like nonchalant, their hairs on around bodies were so long, they must have been always slow for everything.
But after I knew about the meaning of Orangutan, my ideas to them is they independently live in the forests/woods, they know everything about that, any forests/woods are their houses. They are so cool!
Since then, I have cared about "deforestation", "using paper too much" and so on. I really hope orangutan will live in forests/woods forever. For that, I make efforts a little bit to recycle paper and so on.
