カーリングは、トリノ・オリンピックの日本チームの主将・小野寺選手の故郷の北海道常呂町や青森、長野県などで盛んということですが、日本カーリング協会によると、日本のカーリング競技人口は約2,200人らしいです。でも感動は競技人口には比例しない！ 日本チームの活躍を見ていてそう思いました。
