It was the beginning of the "Japanese-style long-term deflation" that all developed countries continue to abhor like the plague.
He also tacitly approved the "Kono Statement" issued by Yohei Kono, who was then Chief Cabinet Secretary, similar to the "comfort women" reporting, a significant fabrication by the Asahi Shimbun.
Furthermore, the Asahi Shimbun published another fabricated article written by a university professor, which was accepted without question in time for his official visit to South Korea.
During his visit to South Korea, he apologized by kneeling before the president or the comfort women statue.
Based on these two points alone, it has to be said that he lacked the ability to make the right decisions as a politician and to discern between truth and falsehood.
While it seems that most of this family are graduates of the University of Tokyo, he was unable to get in even after three years of trying, and yet he has a fatal University of Tokyo complex.

As the Japan-China Friendship Association president in Hiroshima Prefecture for many years, he must have visited China many times.
