There are many on the ground
Many cicadas are coming out
＜１＞に当たるセミのアナ。を書いたのが七月三十日金曜日だった。そのあとで月が一つ増えて八月になり暑くなり梅雨が明けたとなったら、セミが地面から湧き出したのだった。
と思われる日にちょうど、その歩道を歩いてしまったのが運の尽きだった、というのは大袈裟だろうか△
歩道の脇の雨水を逃す少し斜めに傾いたところで、ひっくり返って天に向かって手足をバタつかせているセミの幼虫を見つけてしまったのが最初だった。
直接手で掴むのは躊躇われたため、急いで近くを眺め回し適当な棒切れを探す。手に取ると、ひっくり返っている幼虫にその棒を掴ませる△
近くの植え込みや太めの幹に載せようとするが、幼虫にとっても初めての経験だろうから、慌てている様子が伺える。一度地面に落ちてしまった。
しかし進む方向を誤るとまた歩道に落ちて、今度はニンゲンに何食わぬ顔で踏まれてしまうかもしれない△
またもや棒切れを使ってやり直す。今度は樹をうまく掴んで落ちずに歩いていく。無事に羽化してくれよと祈りつつ、その場を離れた△
しかし数歩歩いたところでまた同じようにひっくり返っている幼虫を見つけた。見捨ててはおけないので、また先ほどのように救済を試みる△
その時点での、でしかないが、幼虫がなんとかなりそうなのを見届けてからまた歩き出すと、今度は歩道に佇んでいるのを見つけた。また棒切れを使い、歩道から救い上げて植え込みへ。その日は結局十匹ほどを救済したようだ。
I wrote No.1 on Friday 30th July, after that when it was in August, got hot and the rainy season was over, many cicadas came out of the ground.
On that day, I shouldn’t have walked on the footpath.
Firstly, I found a cicada who was turned over by accident, he(she?) was struggling with his hands and legs, up and down into the air.
I wanted to rescue him but I couldn’t catch him with my hand, I found a wooden stick around there. I tried him to hold the stick by himself, then moved him onto s branch of the tree.
But once he dropped from there. I was worried if he headed to a wrong direction to the footpath, he might have been stepped on by a human, accidentally.
I tried to save him agsin, the next time, it was succeeded, then I left from there.
Then, soon I found next cicada who was the same problem with the first one...
I saved her(him?) again.
That night, finally I saved 10 cicadas. Good luck to them!
