Diplomats in Japan all confuse LGBT law with same-sex marriage and assume that Japan is a backward country in human rights.
The Asahi Shimbun is also over-the-top on that misconception, but the fact is the opposite.
There is no discrimination against LGBT people in Japan, so there is no need for such a law.
