The following is from Ryusho Kadota's tweet that I just discovered.
@KadotaRyusho
At a joint meeting of the Liberal Democratic Party's Special Committee on Sexual Minorities, 14 people voted cautiously against the LGBT law.
The promotion opinion was only half of "7 people".
At the meeting, most participants agreed that only Canada has an anti-discrimination law in the G7, that Japan is not behind, that even the U.S. has not passed an anti-discrimination law, and that it is not an issue that should be subject to a deadline.
Common sense is alive and well.

It is a Preliminary report of today's joint meeting of the LDP's Special Committee on Sexual Minorities.
Fourteen committee members were opposed and cautious (11 were from the Conservative Unity Group).
Seven members are in favor.
Canada is the only G7 country with an anti-discrimination law.
Japan is not behind. we should not set the deadline
Even the U.S. has not passed an anti-discrimination law.
Many opinions that it should not set the deadline for the May summit.
