As someone from the same Tohoku region, I am genuinely proud that the author of this must-read book, So Far from the Bamboo Grove, is from Aomori Prefecture. 
I have tremendous respect for her strong spirit.
It is the chapter I posted on March 18, 2019.
Not only Japanese people but people worldwide need to reread it.

The following is from the blog of the person watching my blog now.
Here too, trustworthy journalism is now on the Internet. 
The Asahi Shimbun and NHK do not report any facts, even if they say they are working on malicious information manipulation that a news organization should not do. It's not too much to say.
Regarding "So Far from the Bamboo Grove," I have read the name of Masayuki Takayama's paper, but I can say that I knew nothing about the content.
Even so, almost all Japanese people should not have known about it.
I wonder how cruel the Japanese media is.
It is the worst possible situation, and it is clear proof that they have been manipulated by China and the Korean Peninsula until August five years ago.
The author of "So Far from the Bamboo Grove," a must-read for all Japanese people, is from Aomori Prefecture.
As a fellow Tohoku person, I am genuinely proud and greatly respect her strong spirit.
I am also surprised that it corresponds to my paper about the Tohoku people today.

There are no orphans left behind on the Korean Peninsula. Do you know why?
"So Far from the Bamboo Grove"
It was banned in South Korea and China because it was an abnormal depiction of the good Korean people as brutal killers. 
It was an evil false history book that glorified the evil Japanese imperialists.
It was adopted as an American ethics textbook.
However, the shocking book, which is still being thoroughly protested against the book-burning campaign by a group of Koreans living in the United States, has finally been released in Japan!

Born in Aomori in 1933.
Six months after her birth, she was taken by her father, who worked for the South Manchurian Railway (Mantetsu). She moved with her family to Ranam-guyok (now Cheongjin City, North Hamgyong Province, North Korea) in northern Korea.
In 1945 (Showa 20), she escaped from Ranam with her mother and her older sister during the defeat of the war. 
After a life-threatening experience traversing the Korean Peninsula, she withdrew to Japan.
After returning to Japan, she entered a girls' school in Kyoto.
While working, she devoted herself to her studies, and after graduating, she studied English literature at Kyoto University.
After graduating, she worked as an interpreter at a US military base but married and moved to the United States.
She was working to convey Japanese culture to American children.
> At midnight on August 9, 1945, Corporal Matsuura informs her family that the Soviet army is invading and advises them to leave town immediately.
My father and Hideyo were absent, but the Soviet army was already closing in, and there was no time left to contact them. So I got on the hospital train as Corporal Matsuura recommended and escaped from Nanam.
The train is then bombed 45 miles to Seoul, destroying the locomotive, so the three get off the train and head for Seoul on foot.
However, in the peninsula, the Korean Communist Party forces, in concert with the Soviet army, have already massacred Japanese people one after another. It has turned into a picture of hell in which girls and young women are raped at random.
In the United States, it was highly regarded as a good book that conveyed the tragedy of war and was used as teaching material in schools.
However, due to the exclusion movement among Koreans living in the United States, it has been removed from school teaching materials.
However, there has been a movement to re-adopt them since then, and although the exclusion movement by Koreans is not going well so far, it appears that it is continuing.
As for why there was such a movement...
The appearance of Koreans and Koreans depicted in this book seems inconvenient for Koreans who want to demean Japan as absolute evil and continue to be victims.
They fabricate the comfort women issue as an exaggeration and loudly publicize it.
On the other hand, it will suppress if it is inconvenient for them.
It is Korean.
