At first glance, South Korea appears to be a friendly nation.
The reality is that China is an entirely hostile nation.
There is no reason why China does not think what the U.S. used to think.
Most dignitaries from all walks of life and at all levels have been invited or welcomed by the Chinese government to visit China frequently.
It is no exaggeration to say that most of them are caught in the Chinese honey or money trap.
They cannot even "transcend" the "view" and prepare for China.
Mr. Abe, one of the few Japanese VIPs who had nothing to do with such an outrageous situation and who was Japan itself, was assassinated under precisely such circumstances.
It is a problematic situation for Japan.
But what could Foreign Minister Hayashi do?
