Thousands of protesters rallied through Tokyo on Sunday to demand Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe step down from his position.
Protesters carried placards and shouted slogans to decry policies Abe supports. These include Japan's use of nuclear power, the US military base on Okinawa and the Self-Defence Forces' South Sudan mission.
Demonstrators also demanded reprimand for Abe's involvement in the Moritomo Gakuen bribery scandal, which has placed not only Abe, but also his wife, in the spotlight. Moritomo Gakuen is a nationalist school operator.
