Historian Yoko Kato, in a three-way discussion with Yasuo Hasebe and others, said, "She is tarnishing Japan... Where does such a strange view come from?"

The following is from Masayuki Takayama's serial column that appears at the end of the weekly Shincho magazine released today.
This article also proves that he is the one and only journalist in the postwar world.
A long time ago, an elderly female professor from the Monaco Royal Ballet School, highly respected by primas around the world, visited Japan.
These are the words she spoke at that time about the meaning of the existence of artists.
"Artists are important because they are the only ones who can shed light on hidden truths and express them."
No one would disagree with her words.
It is no exaggeration to say that Takayama Masayuki is not only the one and only journalist and artist in the postwar world but also the only one.
Murakami, other writers, and many people who think they are artists are not worthy of the artist title.
That is because, far from shining a light on hidden truths and expressing them, they have only expressed lies created by the Asahi Shimbun and other newspapers.
People like them are not limited to Japan but should be the same in countries worldwide.
In other words, there are very few true artists.
This paper brilliantly proves what I have said, that in today's world, no one other than Takayama Masayuki is most deserving of the Nobel Prize in Literature.
It is a must-read not only for Japanese people but also for people worldwide.

Those who cannot see the truth
The area inside the Great Wall is called Zhongyuan, and the Han people have lived there since ancient times.
Many dynasties were established in Zhongyuan, but most were foreign dynasties that came over the Great Wall and enslaved the Han people, creating a splendid culture.
However, foreign dynasties also fall at some point.
When this happens, the local Han people rise and fight for supremacy, and the world becomes greatly disturbed.
The Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period after the fall of the Zhou Dynasty are good examples of this.
Eventually, even such chaos is conquered by a more muscular foreign enemy.
It is the case with the Tang Dynasty of the Xianbei, the Yuan Dynasty of the Mongols, and the Qing Dynasty of the Manchurians.
When the Qing Dynasty fell, Chiang Kai-shek, Feng Yuxiang, and Zhang Zuolin rose to power and began to fight amongst themselves.
If it had been the usual pattern, at this point, a foreign power, such as Japan, would have come in and ruled China, bringing about good government.
The people would have been happy and content, but another force got involved at this time.
The United States.
This country had an unusual obsession with China and even called it "Manifest Destiny."
So the US chose Chiang Kai-shek from among the Chinese people who made a racket and said, "We will make you the next ruler."
And it wasn't just a petty king of the Central Plains.
He said he would give Chiang Kai-shek the territories ruled by the Qing Dynasty: Manchuria, Mongolia, and Uighur.
It is what is known as the Stimson Doctrine.
If this happened, Manchuria would belong to Chiang Kai-shek, so "Japan would be infringing on Chiang Kai-shek's territory."
So, Stimson aimed to kick Japan out of China.
Japan argued back.
"Manchuria is the homeland of the Manchurians, just like the Chinese heartland is the homeland of the Chinese. It is not Chinese territory," he explained, but the Americans would not listen.
On the contrary, the US ordered Chiang to fight Japan and drive them out of the country in exchange for the large territory.
To this end, he gave the Chinese Air Force a gift of fighter planes with instructors attached.
It was like giving a Cherokee gun to someone to use against Apache helicopters.
Germany also responded.
The German army gave the ragtag Chiang Kai-shek army German helmets and standard-issue guns, and they were beaten into shape from the gut.
Furthermore, they had them build a group of robust bunkers along the Shanghai Outer Ring, which connected Wuyan to Yangcheng Lake through the mouth of the Huangpu River.
With this, they were able to kill all the Japanese in Shanghai and crush the Japanese army that came to their rescue.
If the Chiang Kai-shek army had accomplished this, China would have become America's.
However, there was a hitch during the final stages.
It was the Xi'an Incident, in which Zhang Xueliang captured Chiang Kai-shek.
Some people say this was part of a plot by the Comintern, but the person who flew to the scene with Soong Mei-ling was William Donald, a US newspaper reporter who had been in China for 37 years.
He had connections with the US Public Relations Committee (CPI), and his appearance quickly resolved the incident.
Chiang Kai-shek then decided to go to war with Japan.
First, he provoked the Japanese army at the Marco Polo Bridge.
Although the situation was ripe for war, Japan held back.
Next, 250 Japanese residents were massacred in Tushung.
In the Alamo, 250 American citizens were killed, and the United States immediately declared war on Mexico.
When the battleship Maine exploded in Havana Bay, killing 220 people, the United States declared war on Spain.
There is a theory that the US was behind the Marco Polo Bridge Incident, but Japan still did not react.
Whether the US said, "Go ahead and do it, we don't care" or not.
Chiang ordered a strong force of 60,000 to attack the Japanese concession to massacre the 20,000 Japanese nationals.
However, the small garrison on the Japanese side fought well, and reinforcements also came from Japan.
The well-constructed bunkers were quickly taken down, and the US-made Chinese Air Force dropped bombs outside the Japanese concession, killing many Chinese people and the older brother of Ambassador Reischauer.
It was the Second Shanghai Incident, and in a three-way discussion with Kato Yoko and Hasebe Yasuo, the historian Kato Yoko criticized Japan, saying, "Japan underestimated China and was ignorant of the existence of the bunkers, and was looked down on by Britain and the United States. There are some similarities with the current situation in China."
Where does this strange view come from?
Because of this, she was excluded from the previous Science Council of Japan recommendation.
The Science Council of Japan has also submitted a new member this year, but her name is not on the list.
Well, that's not surprising.

*This Yoko Kato is a professor at the University of Tokyo.
All Japanese citizens must not forget that she is one of the leading figures who was involved in defaming Japan as a representative of anti-Japanese Japanese people.
