On February 16th, 2016, I visited Daikakuji Temple and Arashiyama Park to enjoy Handel's Organ Concerto No. 6 with Richter.
The other day, I first learned about Meadow bunting from a photo taken by a reader, and I thought there might be Meadow bunting among the sparrows that I had been taking pictures of without realizing it.
As you know, I found Meadow bunting in the Osaka Castle and Plum Grove.
At that time, I was remembering the day of this photo.

At that time, in Arashiyama Park, a massive flock of birds I had mistaken for sparrows kept following me.
Usually, we would ignore them, joking that they were just sparrows, but that day, they kept following me so closely that I thought I had no choice but to take a photo.
Then, suddenly, it appeared.
It was a meadow bunting, a delightful surprise indeed!
I was overjoyed!
In addition, whenever I went to Daikakuji Temple or thought about wild birds, I always remembered, "It's hard to take a picture of a bull-headed shrike, but I did take a picture of one at Daikakuji Temple once."
On this day, I carefully adjusted my camera settings, trying to capture the perfect shot of that bull-headed shrike.
How my heart soared with joy at the sight of that bull-headed shrike, a rare and beautiful bird, captured forever in my photo.
