4/8 ～ 4/14 の一週間の全世界での新規感染者数は一日あたりの平均で約 73 万人となり、一週間前の 約 60万人と比較すれば、2月初旬から続いている拡大傾向が一気に高まっている様な結果になっています。この 2月以降の感染拡大は、フランスなど EU諸国での傾向と同じで、それらの国々の検査で明らかな様に、感染力の高い “変異株” の感染が一気に広まっている事が最も大きな原因と推察できます。

2月以降の感染拡大傾向は、海を隔てている筈の日本でも時期や傾向が同じで、新規感染者における “変異株” の割合は 5月には 100％ 近くに達すると推測されています。

正に、世界は “変異株” によって振り回されている状況に陥っていますが、現行では頼みの綱になっているワクチン接種も各国間で大きな格差を生んでいる上、現在の “変異株” や今後必ず現れる 更に新しい “変異株” に対しても現行のワクチンが有効かどうかさえはっきりしません。
その為、世界各国は研究開発用データテーブルを共有して、惜しみなく情報を出し合い、手分けして研究や臨床実験を行なうなど、国連や各国政府が主導して行なう事を強く求めます。
また、現行のワクチン開発会社や研究機関が開発した製造についても、日本を含めてより多くの国で製造協力を行なうべきでしょう。
