I am happy I can see Bruce concert at Manchester in May at GA.

This song is filled with anger and powerlessness.
He could do anything but causing murder.
But I think Bruce wants me to imagine how Johnny felt.
Bruce says to me that Johnny could be me.
激しい争い、犯罪の歌。
そこには報われない底辺での生活があったのだろう。

「夜と霧」ヴィクトール・E・フランクル著 新版池田香代子訳

「夜と霧」を読んでの感想です。
以前、旧版を読んで冒頭の解説を読むので挫折したのですが、
新版新訳本を教えてもらい無事に読み終わりました。
思っていたより読みやすかったです。
悲惨さよりも希望を僕は感じました。
アウシュビッツ収容所や周辺の収容所で生活したことを淡々と記述されている。
その中で人の美しさ、したたかさを強制収容所にいても持ち続けようと作者はしていたと感じます。
そして与えられた環境でいかにふるまうかは自分で決められるという人間としての最後の自由。
これを作者は死守したのだと思います。

どう自分は生きるかを問い続けたのだろう。
目的があるのは大切だな。
僕も今は大変だけどこの経験を当事者研究全国大会で話すのだ。
僕が必要とされている。
自分が求めるよりも自分が求められていると思うと勇気が湧くな。
未来に目的を持って生きる態度、日々の行動かな。

僕はこの本を読む前は難しそうで悲惨で落ち込む本だと思っていたけれど、
読み終わって希望が湧いた。
僕の今の苦労も僕を必要としてくれる人に話すことで報われると思うと勇気が湧いて来ました。
元気が出る本でした。
でもこの作者もアウシュビッツ収容所で死ぬ可能性がいくつもあったようでした。
この作者と同じ経験をしていても死んでしまい話せない人がいると想像すると恐くなりました。

I was little disapointed when I listen to this song for the first time.
I wanted to listen to louder music.
But now I like the album Nebraska.
There are essential things to live in this album I am feeling now.
In this song Bruce tells that He could be you.
僕がNebraskaを聴いたのは高校生の頃だったと思います。
The Riverを聴きこんでいてレコード屋に発売日に買いに行った。
そして聴いて戸惑った。
今なら僕は分かると言いたいところだけれど、自信は無い。
でも当時よりはだいぶ分かると思う。僕もそうだと共感するところがある。

I remind myself that I have to pay the price thrugh listening to this song.
I 've done what I wanted to do.
So I will pay the price living in northern part of Japan,Urakawa Hokkaido.
This youtube captures the live at Mohegan Sun Arena in 2014.
I went there and listened Bruce to play this song for fan's request.
At the end of this song
