ＮＨＫの番組でも「明治の日本人は欧米の文化からいいものを選び、取り入れるユニークな才能をもっていた」と語る。　

その昔、支那文化に接したとき、律令や建築技術は採用したけれど、宦官や纏足、残酷刑は拒否した。

しかしＡｕｔｏｃｒａｔは「独裁者」といかにも響きの悪い訳語がつけられた。　

そういう感覚を持った明治人がCommunismを「キョーサン主義」と訳している。　

耳には「凶」とか「惨」とか、ろくな響き方をしない。　

ご維新のほんの20年前に登場したこの新しい政治思想は搾取を排すとか、生産手段も収穫も等しく分かち合うとか、実によさそうな話か並ぶ。

ドラッカー氏の言うユニークな才能をもつ明治人はこの思想に接したとき、本能的に不自然さ、邪悪さを嗅ぎ取ったのではないか。　　

それで警告をこめて「共産主義」とした。

そう考えない限り、こんなおぞましい響きの訳語にしたことの説明がつかない。
