Looking back after all the races have finished, what stands out is that there were unexpectedly many age-group finalists in the 50-meter butterfly and breaststroke. However, if we flip this around, it means that by training and extending distances to 100 and 200 meters, the potential for reaching the finals or top three increases. Therefore, I believe it is important to change our mindset and actively focus on racing in Olympic events, rather than just swimming short distances.
