  It's rainy season now in Japan, so it's humid and hot every day.
It began to rain this morning and is raining now a little.
By the way, various kinds of hydrangea is blooming here and there.
These are some of them.
I think this flower looks more beautiful in the rain.
The raindrops on the leaves of this flower are also so nice.

Dragonfly

A big dragonfly was on the shoulder of my neighbor the other day.
She recommended me to take pictures of this dragonfly.
On pressing the shutter button, it flew away somewhere.

After rain

 It stopped raining yesterday afternoon.
Taking a walk in the evening, big clouds were seen in the sky.

iknow !

 I registered in an English program named 'iknow!' the other day not to forget English or to brush up my English.
I knew this site in an article of this blog.
Mekkan san seems to have been enjoying this program very much and I was also interested in it.
I'm going to enjoy studying English little by little every day.

By the way, I've been learning English using 'hungry for words' too.
It's also very useful.

With a new camera

I had been using Canon IXY DIGITAL 3.2MEGA PIXELS for about four years, but lens of the camera broke suddenly.
It didn't move at all.
So I bought a new camera.
This time I bought Canon IXY DIGITAL 7.1MEGA PIXELS.
Though it is much cheaper and a little thinner than 3.2MEGA PIXELS, I can take better pictures than before.

I took pictures of swallows with the new camera.
They will leave the nest before long.

Evening sky

Rainy season began here in Chu-go-ku region yesterday five days later than usual.
And it was a rainy day yesterday, but it's sunny and hot today.
I could see a beautiful scenery of sunlight reflecting in the rice fields in the evening.

Preparation for rice planting

Farmers began to plant rice plant around my house.
I hear the sound of farm tractors from early in the morning.
My husband is also busy in preparing for rice planting.

We scattered paddies using a machine like this picture.
The number of the box with soil are about 90 and it took about two hours.
After that, we covered the boxes with a vinyl sheet and fu-to-n for Ko-ta-tsu to warm them.

About four days later, we put the boxes to the ground.
This time, we covered them with a sheet again to protect the paddies from strong sunlight and birds.

Nine days later, they were growing smoothly.
So we uncovered the sheet and covered them with a net to protect rice sprouts from birds.

Rice sprouts are growing beautifully.
Soon they will be planted to the rice fields.

Swallow

  Swallows are busy in feeding their baby birds now.
I hear the singing of the birds from early in the morning every day.

Baby birds are waiting their parents carrying food.
Every time they feel their parents bringing some food to the nest, they twitter very lively.

May these baby birds leave this nest safely without being attacked by snakes or crows ! 

Kiva again

   A week has passed since I registered in Kiva, but I had been struggling with the site and it's  English.
In spite of the registration, my portfolio wasn't correct.
I had been wondering what was wrong with me.
I clicked the site many many times and looked for the reason.
But I didn't know the reason .
Today I received an e-mail from Kiva saying they had mistaken with the treatment of my money and I should select the person I lend money  again.
So I reselected a person again.
This is the person and this is my page.
At last I managed to become a member of Kiva successfully !
