Farmers will dig out lots of lotus roots from the drained pond before long.
Boiled roots are very tasty as well as healthy.

About seven months have passed since I registered in Kiva.
And six months have passed since I lent $ 25 to Miss grace who is running a grocery store in Ghana.
She is planning to repay all the money in seven months.
Today I found her fifth repayment in her page of Kiva.
Total repaid so far is 71% of my loan.
This is my page.
Her business seems to be working well !
To tell the truth, I was worrying about her repayment because she didn't repay money last month.
But I'm relieved a little today.

I heard a good news on NHK news last night.
They said it's good for the elderly people to use a computer.
According to the research, protective efficacy of the acknowledgment syndrome was admitted by the users of computer.
About 130 senior citizens at Setagaya Ward in Tokyo had joined this research and at the same time they had practiced light movement like walking which may improve the blood stream of brain for three years.
As a result, their function of the brain in "Memory", "Language", and "Idea" was obviously improved.
This is good news for personal computer loving senior.
My motivation of writing articles on a blog and taking a walk with a digital camera was increased a little.
A pond called 'O-o-i-ke' near my house
It was very cold and windy today.
I saw very tiny snow flakes falling in the morning.
Was it the first snow fall ?
According to the weather forecast, it'll be below zero tonight.
Cold winter has come at last !
I could see many ducks floating on the surface of the pond.
They'll be there till next spring.
Rural scenery these days are changing day by day.
The leaves of the tree behind a zen-temple have turned their color to early winter color.
The leaves looked gold in the evening sun.
There are many persimmons left on the twigs of the tree yet.
Perhaps this fruits tastes bitter, so some birds will come to eat them when they are ripened.
And I saw many Japanese radishes hung on the stick to dry them.
This is one of rural sceneries around my house.
