Beginnning of fall

Today is the end of August.
It has gone with the Olympic games.

For the students, it's the beginning of the new cemester or a fall term.
There will be an athletic meet, school festival and so on at school.

For farmers it is the the harvest time.

It is a good season to do everything.

Various fruits ripen and the food is delicious.

Fall is a rich seazon.

Surprise !

What are these?

I was surprized to see these seals.
They were not here until this evening.

I am writing now only to use them.

This blog will be more pleasant by using this tool.

Soft bank

9984T(Soft bank) is good.

The president of the company, Masayosi Son declared that they will begin the phone service lower than the phone rate of NTT.

The users will cut the price about 200yen a month.
And the users may be able to cut the rate about 50% .

As a result the price of the stock is rising.

Typhoon no.16

Because of the coming of strong typhoon no.16, it is very windy and cloudy, sometimes rainy now. Besides it is very humid.

According to the weather news on TV, it landed on near Kushikino city in Kagoshima prefecture at about 9:30 a.m. It will pass through Chugoku area and go to the Japan sea.

In the evening, it will pass near here.

Wind is becoming strogner.

Rice-plant

The flowers of rice-plants are blooming now.

As the dog, John, said in the diary today, if the strong wind of typhoon no.16 blow away the flowers, they will be damaged.

Natural disasters are awful as they are beyond our control.

Long time no see !

How were you gettin along this hot summer?
I have been fine in spite of the heat of this summer.
Every summer season, during the day, I am taken to the place where the cool air is blowing .
So I am not as hot as the dogs in the heat.

Now a big strong typhoon no.16 is comming near again.

Farmers are afraid if the flowers of the rice-plant are fallen away by the strong wind.
It is an important time for the rice-plant now.

There seems to be more typhoons and thunders than usuall this summer.


Though I am no.2 in my families (no.1 is that old white cat.), I am afraid of the roll of the thunders very much. The big sound surprises me and I become uneasy.

But it is the end of the time when thunders roll.

It is a comfortable cool seoson soon.

Okra as vegetable

My mother-in-low grows okras too.

We eat vinegared okras ,fried or boiled ones.

It is said to be good for our health.

Okra

This is a flower of okra.

In the mornihg, it blooms and in the afternoon, it withers.

It is like hibiscus or rose mallow(mu-ku-ge).

Bush clover

One of 'the seven glasses in fall', bush clovers began to bloom.

It is 'hagi' in Japanese.

Eggplant in fall

Eggplants are still growing.

They are called 'eggplant in fall '; 'aki-na-su' in Japanese.

There is a famaous saying.
'Don't let a housewife eat eggplant in fall.'

There are two explanations.
1. When a woman eat eggplant, it will cool down her and she won't become pregnant.
2. As eggplant in fall is very delicious, a mother-in-law who don't like her doesn't let her eat eggplant.

The explanation No.2. seems to be general.

It is interesting, isn't it?

Beautiful lady

This year too, 'gekka-bi-ji-n' bloomed.
In Japanese it means 'Beautiful Lady under the Moon '

In this summer, this is the third time to bloom.

It begins to bloom in the evening and becomes in full bloom at midnight.
In the morning it withers.

So every time, there are few people to see.

As the flower's life is very short; for about ten hours, we feel all the more beautiful like the very name.

The fragrance is so strong that we can see the flowers are blooming in the dark.

Fig now

The figs in the yard have ripened.
I picked these figs.
They ripen one after another every day for about a month or so.

They taste so sweet and juicy.

These days

The weather these days are uncertain.

There was a heavy shower in this afternoon only for a short time though it was fine or cloudy in the morning.
So it will be cool tonight.

I can hear the sound of some kinds of insect in the evening too.

Fall is comming soon.

Stocks

The prices of stocks that I have now are rising litte by litle.

4519T and 2502T are better today.

This green grass is 'po-to-su'

The words which moved me.

This flower is 'no-bo-ta-n' in Japanese.


On a TV program on August 22, I saw Takafumi Horie.

He is a young president of a company; Live Door.
He is now famous for having propsed to buy a baseball team, Kintetsu. As he was refused his proposal, now he is going to make a new baseball team.

He said his 'motto' was NOTHING IS CERTAIN
or EVERYTHING IS UNCERTAIN.

In other wards LIFE IS BUT AN EMPTY DREAM.

When I heard his words, I was surpridsed a little because it is a fundamental principle of Buddhism.

I couldn't connect this principle with this young man.

Though he is young, he conduct himself and is leading his company by making decisions through this motto.

LIFE IS UNCERTAIN and EVRYTHIHG IS CHANGING!!

This thought may save all the　people.
