Beginning of the rainy season

 It drizzled yesterday afternoon.

The Meteorological Agency announced the beginning of the rainy season in Kinki, Chugoku and Shikoku district yesterday.

It is 18 days earlier than last year and 12days earlier than average year.

There were four seasons in Japan, but there seem to be only two seasons these few years . 

It was cold a few days ago and suddenly it became hot.

But it is a little cold today.

By the way,  our rest rooms are being repaired and drainage is under construction now . 

If rainy days continue, workers can't finish the work smoothly.

I hope it won't rain for some time.

Strawberry

 Taking a walk the day yesterday evening, I passed by a vegetable field and was given these strawberries by  a farmer who I know well.

It was a lucky day !

Cherry

My friend gave me lots of cherries a few days ago.
She grows a few cherry trees in her yard, and she picked them that morning.
They were too beautiful to eat, but I ate them.
They were sweet and sour a little.

May 13

This is a cherry tree with many cherry.
I took this picture while I was taking a walk the other day.
They were not red yet.

Peony

 It's the season of peony and I see various colors of the flower.

They are very gorgeous, but the life of this flower is also short.

It's often rain in this season and I always worried about the rain.

Because it gives damage to this beautiful flower.

In fact, it has been raining for three days. 

 

 

 

Lion dance 2011

   I heard the sound of pipe, drum, and bell  far away this morning.

A group of "I-se lion dance" came from I-zu-mo in Shi-ma-ne pre-fec-ture.

The name of the group is Sa-sa-ki Ki-n-da-yu.

We call it I-se Da-i-ka-gu-ra.

They visit house to house to give three kinds of talismans and show us lion dance in the yard.

They dance to drive out devils and purify our house.

This dance began in Edo era, and it has been specified for the important intangible folk cultural property of the country. 

So we should value this for long !

 

 

Flower of wistaria

 

 

 

It's a very comfortable season in the year now and various kinds of flowers are blooming.

Flower of wistaria is one of them and I can enjoy this flower while taking a walk here and there.

They are very gorgeous ! 

Lily of the valley

Lily of the valley began to bloom in my yard.

This white flower looks pretty and clean.

This flower is also one of the signs of early summer. 

 And these are flowers similar to Lily of the valley.

Pink field on a day of dust storm

Chinese milk vetch in a rice field

Chinese milk vetch are in full bloom in a rice field near my house.

A farmer grows them every year there, so we can enjoy the scenery in this season.

By the way, dust storm ( ko-u-sa) from chinese continent has been floating in the air since yesterday.

The air wasn't clear and the dust fell down on the car,　 laundry drying in the air and so on.

Besides it isn't good for our health.

I hope it will disappear tomorrow !
