Happy birthday !

  My grandson became one year old today.

we celebrated his birthday the day before yesterday.

 

 He　carrieｄ rice cake that weighs 1.4 kg on his back in a rucksack with the help of his parents.

We wished he would grow healthily and we hoped he would not troubled by food throughout his life. 

 

 Next we divined what job he would select in the future by his selection of the goods that was put in front of him.

He is taking a tape measure !

After that, we added a purse.

On putting it, he took it.

So he may become a rich craftsman.

 

 

His pretty actions made us laugh and laugh. 

After that we had lunch and had a  happy time.

By the way, I made this rice cake using rice cake cooker.

I wondered if I could make it well or not because I used it after a very long time.

I managed to make it well !
 

       

 

       

To the hill

mountain named Banyu (186m)

 

Yesterday I went to 'Hall of the Medicine Buddha : Yakushi Dou' which stands on the middle of the hill with four neighbors who goes to our temple once a month to copy sutra. 

And we also climbed the top of the hill called Banyu.

We began to down the hill from the hall, but we lost our way and we found that we were climbing mount Banyu.

So we kept climbing.

There used to be a fort more than 500 years ago.

It was three hours picnic, so we were all very tired.

But it was a nice time.

I went there three years ago for the first time and this was the second time.

 

First visit in the year to a temple

 

  I went to our temple on new year's morning and prayed for our good health, happy days, peaceful world and so on.

About 15 people came together.

After praying, we celebrated new year with Sweet red bean soup with Japanese ricecake;Mochi, Sake and　mandarin orange.

we also enjoyed drawing of lots and got some kinds of goods.

It was a nice time !
