Flower of leek

The other day, I took some pictures of leek flower which was blooming at the backyard of my house.
They looked nice against the green rice fields.
The next day, I found all the flowers had been cut down by Shizusan.
I was lucky to be able to take this picture.

 

Summer Festival

Sa-ku-ra Da-i-shi

  They had a summer festival at Sa-ku-ra Da-i-shi this evening.
Saint Ko-u-bo-u is worshipped at this temple.

 

Some ladies with a yukata; an informal cotton kimono were going there for Bon dance.
And they enjoyed Ka-ra-o-ke too.

Village people offered some fruits and flowers in front of Ko-i-cha no Ba-a-sa-n at the corner of the cross path.

After this festival, I feel the coming of fall.

 

The third person

Water- Hyacinth

  Mrs. Yetunde is the third person I loaned $25　through Kiva.
She is 40 year old and a mother of two children living in Lagos State, Nigeria.
She has been running a shop of soft drink and wine for ten years and needs more money  for the shop.
She is going to loan $450 and is scheduled to repay the money in ten months.

I wish her business also work well !

Cotton rosemallow

  I loaned $25 to Mrs. Betsabeth who sells food and other merchandise at HUANCAYO  in February through Kiva .
She borrowed  $700 from 26 person and was planning to repay all the money in six months.
And she finished the loan this month. 
Her business must have been successful.

Visiting a grave

Chinese lantern plant　(July 15)

Bon festival is from yesterday to August 16.
It is said that ancestral spirits come back from heaven during Bon festival, so we serve for the spirits during this festival.
A priest came to my house for reciting a sutra on August 12.
We also visit to the grave during the festival.
So I visited the grave of my parents today.
Usually I visit there with my husband, but my husband didn't go there today because I was angry with him.
Anyhow New Year and Bon festival are two of the big events in Japan and members of the family gather together.

Rainbow

The other day, I saw a rainbow while I was taking a walk.
It was very clear and so beautiful.

And I saw a small one when I visited our graveyard yesterday afternoon .
Bon festival is coming near, so I went to our graveyard for the purpose of cleaning the place with my husband.
On arriving there, it rained cats and dogs for a while.
So we were in the car till it stopped raining.
It appeared after the shower and disappeared soon.

Beginning of fall

morning glory

 Today is the beginning of fall in traditional Japanese calendar, but  it's very hot and close now.
We had a very long rainy season this year, so we'll have short summer.
It is said to become cool early in the morning and at night from now. 
But it'll be sultry during the day till the end of September.
