As you know, Bon festival is from August 13 to August 15.We are preparing for that now, so we set an altar at To-ko-no-ma and put Go-ho-n-zo-n-sa-ma, O-i-ha-i, etc. on them the day before yesterday.
And yesterday morning, I went to our grave to weed and clean with my husband.
Our grave is in the bamboo grove, so there are many mosquitoes in summer.
So I hate visiting there in summer.
On getting there, I burnt the incense sticks to drive away the mosquitoes.
It took about an hour and a half to clean there.
We offered Shi-ki-bi, rice, water and the incense sticks and prayed after that.
We also set Mi-zu-ta-na-sa-ma in the yard.
Our priest is coming to my house to recite sutras for our ancestors tomorrow morning.
This is one of the big events in Japan !
