In the morning we removed the decorations and gathered them together.
And in the afternoon Shizusan and I burned 'the decorations' and 'the rice-cakes' in the yard of my house.
Shizusan scattered it's ash to the flower garden in my house.
We will eat the rice-cake cooked to 'zo-u-ni' tomorrow morning.
It is the end of New Year events.
Years ago many people brought them to a certain place called 'tondo-ba' and burned them together.
But recently, we don't do like that in this region.
So I wonder if there is no place to burn, what do they do?
Do they bring them to a garbage dump?
I am reluctant to do that as the decoraions are relevant to god.
The world are changing and these events in the village are also disappearing little by little!

Sunset this evening
Thank you for your nice comment.
I try to keep the traditional way of living as far as possible as you say.
I can feel the beautiful changing of every seasons clearly and I like living here.
At the same time I sometimes feel like living in the big city!
We seem to have what we don't have, don't we?
I cooked a small one with the microwave oven in two minutes.
Then I found it was made of one piece of cake. The taste with Natto and Nori is not so bad. But it made me a little dissapointed.
This December I will buy a two-peaces round rice cake.
I often cook it with 'sugar and shoyu' or 'soybean flour' at tea time.
It's also good.
Your plan to buy rice cake would be nice, but too early?
