Domestic major companies are now going ahead with selection and screening of suppliers of components and raw materials based on the so-called corporate social responsibility(CSR),such as compliance with law and ethics or consideration for the environment.For example,Matsushita Electric Industrial Co.,Ltd. will make contracts with some 9,000 suppliers,by which it asks them compliance with CSR.And Fuji Xerox Co.,Ltd. will ask its suppliers to check their observance of 670 items and report them to it.
