The government has started to deliberate on how to map out a new system where farmland would be able to be integrated using the public fund in order to enhance productivity in the field of agriculture in Japan.
Specifically, the public organaizations,or Agricultural Revitalization Corporations (tentative name),which would be established in municipalities
across the country,will buy the cultivation rights of unused farmland,and sell them wholesale to new entrants into the field like company-style entrants.The government intends to implement the system in some regions within 2008.
