幸福の鍵
The key to happiness:

幸福になれるかどうか、それは心のレベルで決まる―――私たちがどれだけ利己的な欲望を抑え、他の人に善かれかしと願う「利他」の心を持てるかどうか、このことが幸福の鍵となるということを、私は自らの人生から学び、確信しています。
Whether you will be able to happy or not will depend on the level of your mind. How much you can suppress your selfish desires and have the mind of altruism, where you pray for others' happiness, this would be the key to your happiness. I have learned this principle from my life, and I believe in that.

足るを知る
You should know the sense of being satisfied in your mind:

腫れ上がる欲望を満たそうとしている限り、幸福感は得られません。反省ある日々を送ることで、際限のない欲望を抑制し、今あることに「感謝」し、「誠実」に努力を重ねていく―――そのような生き方の中でこそ、幸せを感じられるに違いない。
As long as you are going to satisfy your desires which expand endlessly, you will not get the sense of happiness. On the contrary, if you suppress your endless desire by living your days with self-reflection, feel gratitude for your present and make efforts seriously, you will come to feel happiness. This is my belief.

心に描く
To depict things in your mind:

心が呼ばないものが自分に近づいてくることはなく、現在の自分に起こっているすべての現象は、自分の心の反映でしかありません。
There is nothing which is approaching you without your mind calling it. All the phenomena taking place in your mind at present are no more than the reflection of your mind.

私たちは、怒り、恨み、嫉妬心、猜疑心など否定的で暗いものを心に描くのではなく、常に夢を持ち、明るく、きれいなものを心にえがかなければなりません。そうすることで、実際の人生も素晴らしいものになるのです。
We should always have a dream and depict things bright and beautiful in our minds, instead of depicting things negative and dark like anger, grudge, jealousy or suspicion. That attitude will make your lives wonderful.

宇宙の意思
The will of the universe:

私は、この宇宙には、すべての生きとし生けるものを、善き方向に活かそうとする「宇宙の意思」が流れていると考えています。その善き方向に心を向けて、ただひたむきに努力を重ねていけば、必ず素晴らしい未来へと導かれていくようになっていると思うのです。
I think in this universe there is "the will of the universe" which leads all the living things to better conditions. If we make efforts steadily in that direction, we will surely be led to a wonderful future, I believe.

「ど真剣」な人生
REALLY serious life:

いつも燃えるような意欲や情熱を持って、その場そのとき、すべてのことに「ど真剣」に向かい合って生きていくこと。
You should live your life having a burning intension or enthusiasm all the time, with REAL seriousness every time, every occasion and for everything.

その積み重ねが私たち人間の価値となって、人生のドラマを実り多い、充実したものにするのだ。
Such accumulation of your efforts creates value as a human and makes a drama of your life rich and fruitful.
