チーズケーキ

An old friend
Gave me a spider and
The handmade cheese cakes

良き友の一つ、物くるる友(by「徒然草」吉田兼好)。じゃあないですが、久しぶりに会った旧友から、チーズケーキをいただいたのですが(美味しかったです！ご馳走さまです！)、その上に乗っていた(棒キャンディ)「蜘蛛」に驚かずにごめんなさい。
ハロウィンシーズンだったので、驚かないといけなかった(？)らしいんですが、その上に乗っていたのに、すぐさま「チーズケーキ」の方に目が行ってしまう。という、やたらにケーキ好きなニンゲンだったらしく、醜態を晒しました。無粋ですな。ユーモアの余地をもっと持たなくてはいけませんね。反省…。

Kenko Yoshida was Buddhist priest in the past(around 700 years ago) who wrote an essay "Tsurezuregusa". There are many his sayings. One pf them, there are three reasons about friend, if we think they are nice, one of three is a friend who gives us something.
One of my old friends who gave me her (mother's handmade) cheesecakes, when we met after long time no see. On the cakes, there was a candy spider(crafted by her), I should have been surprised by the spider when I saw it on the cakes. But, I missed the opportunity because I am crazy about any cakes, I just straightly looked at the cakes. It was a Halloween season, that's why, she made the spider. I regretted why I wasn't surprised with that. I have to improve my abilities of humor rightnow. I will.
