According to some information,Aiken Kakoki K. K., a wastewater treatment equipment maker based in Matsuyama, Ehime,is now constructing wastewater treatment facilities in Indonesia. Specifically,it will have completed the construction of the equipment for treatment and purification of wastewater from a hotel there by the end of October this year. This work has been carried out on a joit-venture basis with a local company, which has led to a significant decrease in cost.

In foreign countries like those in ASEAN, there is a keen awareness among people that the environment should be kept from pollution casued by wastewater or lack of water. Given such conditions, Aiken has been striving to advance its business into such global market.

Really for a long time no posting in this column:

The following is the news I read in the newspaper today.

According to Shikoku Railway Company, or JR Shikoku, there were as many as 32,586 items left behind in the trains or stations in fiscal 2014, which was up 6.8% from
the previous year and set a record high. The company's officials say there were an increase in particular in the umbrella, and otehr conspicuopius ones are eyeglasses, accessories and books.

Speaking of the kinds,the most frequent left were umbrellas,logging 7,664 items in total, which accounted for 23.5% of the whole and was up 6.8 % from the previous year. Accessories like eye glasses and hats came to be 5,745 items, followed by books and stationery with as many as 3,298 items.

By the month, in December there were the most items left.

Regarding money, there were as much as 22.97 million yen left in cash, which was up 7.6 % from the preceeding year. According to the officials, the biggest money was 365,000 yen.
