アンケート調査の分析では、よく人を年齢別に表現すうことが多くなる。
具体的な表現方法は果たして、どうなっているか。
人を年齢区分して表現することはよくあることである。自分の型を持つくらいに
習熟すべきところだろう。
①ある一定年齢から上(幅のある数値の、片方の端だけを表現すればいい)
15歳以上
people aged 15 or over/ people aged 15 or above/ people aged 15 or more/
men and women aged 15 or over
people who are 15 years old or over/ people who are 15 years old or above/ 等々

②ある一定の年齢の幅を設定する表現
<between the ages of X and Y>が基本的なパターンで、「データで見る日本」では圧倒的にこの使用例が多い。
これは、between the age of X and the age of X から来たもので、二つのthe age を一つに求めて、複数のthe ages にしたものだろう。だからここの複数は意識したい。
b:米国の18歳~29歳では
The proportion of young people who replied they have "a lot of interest" or "some interest" in politics came to 68% among young people in the United States between the ages of 18 and 29.
c:45歳から54歳までの中年男性
Even among middle-aged men between the ages of 45 and 54, one in every four comes into conatact with comics in their daily lives.
