日立、鉱山運営に参画 ITでコスト１割減 豪リオと連携
It is learned that Hitachi, Ltd. has decided to have a tie-up with a British-Austarlain major resources company Rio Tinto limited. According to sources familiar with the matter,they will intend to reduce the cost of proroducing iron ore by about 10 percent by aking use of the two companies' strength, thatis ,Rio Tinto's management know-how of mines and Hitachi's management technology of infrastructures. As a first step, their intiative will be carried out at a world's largest-class mine owned by Rio Tinto in the western part of Australia.
