また「反日種族主義こそが韓国を滅亡させる」という言葉の真意はどこにありますか。

像の設置に反対する理由の一つは、それが慰安婦と徴用工の歴史を歪曲しているからです。
慰安婦は強制連行されたのではなく、「性奴隷」ではありません。
労働者たちも強制連行されたのではなく、奴隷労働ではありませんでした。
つまり、これらの像は歴史をそれほど歪曲しているのです。
二つ目は、これほど歴史を歪曲すれば、一つの社会にとって「最も良い教科書」と呼んでもいい「歴史」から教訓、つまり現在や未来の発展のための教訓や指針を得ることができません。
歴史の歪曲は長期的に私たちの発展を阻害する自殺行為なのです。

Lee U-yeon is one of the sensible scholars who have a sense of crisis in the Moon Jae In administration's runaway and are exploring ways of friendly relations with Japan to prevent South Korea from becoming a communist state. In July, he spoke at the plenary session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva with Matsuki Kunitoshi. However, after returning to Korea, he was attacked by a thug. Is Korea's anti-Japan sentiment growing ever? Mr. Lee talked about the current situation in Korea and his situation.

In the daytime, two strangers came to the laboratory and kicked the entrance door dozens of times, saying, 'Lee U-yeon traitor, pro-Japanese, come out!' Called me, pointed at me and spat on my face.

What kind of response do you intend to take in the future against such forces?

The Moon administration has promoted the most 'anti-Japan' in Korean history and is the most active government in using anti-Japan.
The agreement on comfort women was virtually abandoned, and the so-called recruitment issue virtually supports the Supreme Court's ruling on 30 October 2018.
Furthermore, they have ignored all of Japan's concerns and the desire for the Korean government to respond appropriately, bilateral diplomatic discussions, and requests for the establishment of an arbitration committee by a third country.
Since this is the reaction of the Japanese government looking at the attitude of the Korean government, it does not mean bashing South Korea or Koreans.
However, objectively, Japanese people who are interested in Japan-Korea relations have indeed accused South Korea of the fact that this has been ongoing.
Koreans must accept this as a fact.

李
昼間に見ず知らずの二人が研究所に来て数十回も玄関の扉を蹴り「李宇衍売国奴、親日派、出てこい！」などと建物全体に響く野獣のような大声を上げて私を呼び出して、私を指差して、私の顔に唾を吐きかけました。
松木
にもかかわらず、警察当局は動かなかったそうですね。
そうした勢力に対して、今後、どのような対応をとるおつもりですか。
我々は暴漢に襲われても李先生が所信を曲げることはないと信じていますが。
李
刑事、民事の全ての責任を取らせねばなりません。
どのような言葉を浴びせられ、暴力的な行為にさらされても、私たちはどこまでも私たちの主張を曲げることはありません。
また公開討論も要求するつもりです。
松木
韓国の「ホワイト国」除外について、圧倒的多数の日本人が賛成しています。
文在寅政権や韓国メディアはどこまで日本の状況を把握しているのでしょうか。
また、日本側は日韓関係75年の清算だととらえていますが、そのことについても韓国はわかっていないように思います。
李
これまで韓国は歴史を歪曲してまで両国間で、また国際外交舞台においても日本を非難し、誹謗してきました。
その過程で日本は大きな傷を負い、その傷が積み重なってきました。
その傷の大きさと深さを韓国人たちは理解できていません。現在、日本の対応はそのような傷をこれ以上負わないという最初の公開的宣言であり、その意志は強固です。
1965年に国交正常化して以来、初めてのことです。
このような日本人の認識を韓国は理解していません。
松木
日本政府は文政権の不誠実な外交をただしているだけで、韓国や韓国人をバッシングしているわけではありません。
李
文政権は韓国史で最も“反日”を推進しており、反日を利用することにおいて最も積極的な政府です。
慰安婦合意を事実上破棄し、いわゆる徴用工問題では2018年10月30日の最高裁の判決を事実上支持しています。
しかも、日本の憂慮と韓国政府にきっちり対応してほしいという要望、二国間の外交協議や第三国による仲裁委員会の設置の要求などを全て無視してきました。
この韓国政府の姿勢を見ての日本政府の反応ですから、韓国や韓国人を決してバッシングしているわけではありません。
しかしながら、今までこのようなことが続いてきたために、日韓関係に関心を持った日本人が韓国を非難していることは客観的に見ても事実です。
このことも韓国人は事実として受け入れなければなりません。
留まることを知らない反日
松木
地下鉄に「安倍政権糾弾」ステッカーを二万枚貼付、学校での日本産文房具不使用、蔚山地区のクジラ遊覧船料金増加（約二千円→約七十二万円）、東京五輪ボイコット……怒りを示すのに物を壊したり、物に当たったりするのは子どもの
することだと思われますが、一連の日本への抗議をどのように感じていますか。
また、今後の日韓関係は、どのようにすれば正常化できると思われますか。
李
韓国の現在の反日運動、不買運動などは歪曲された歴史認識がその背景にあります。
それは問題の核心でもある昨年10月30日の最高裁判決も同じなのです。
これは前近代的な「反日種族主義」でなければ説明できません。
現在の事態は日本側より韓国側にはるかに大きな損害をもたらすでしょう。
ただし、これは短期的なことです。
韓国は第三国による仲裁委員会や国際司法裁判所に行くことに応じなければなりません。
日本は現在のような能動的、積極的態度を維持しなければなりません。
そのような過程を通して、日韓関係の歴史に対する正しい認識が韓国人の間に広がっていき、それによって長期的に見て両国関係が本質的に改善し、それぞれにはるかに大きな利益をもたらすからです。
松木
文政権の目指す方向は、どこにあると見ていますか。
やはり「赤化統一」でしょうか。
また、歴史歪曲禁止法やＶＡＮＫ（韓国の正しい姿を世界中に広めるために、インターネット等を介して情報宣伝工作活動を行う民間組織）による情報操作、ユーチューブなどでの情報統制・規制、言論弾圧によって、韓国国民は正しい情報を入手しにくくなっていませんか。
李
少なくとも「高麗連邦制」による統一を目指していることは確かでしょう。
他にも情報を遮断することを狙っていますが、成功はしないでしょう。
韓国人たちは新しいメディアであるユーチューブやＳＮＳなどを利用して、新しい情報伝達体系をつくるのに熟達しており、また、そういう圧力に対してとても敏感に反応するからです。

文在寅政権や韓国メディアはどこまで日本の状況を把握しているのでしょうか。

このままでは韓国は発展できないばかりか、国が滅んでしまう。
そうした危機感が私にはあります。
今後は理性的な日本の方々とも連帯して、反日政策のおかしさや、真実の歴史を回復するために行動していきたい。

反日に反対する動き
これまで韓国による度重なる日本非難や理不尽な要求に対して、日本は後退し、沈黙し続けてきました。
日本があまりにも受動的で消極的な態度を続けてきたので、問題がここまで大きくなってしまった。
それを安倍政権になって初めて積極的な姿勢に転換した。
これは非常に重要なことです。
歴史問題でも歴史を誇張、歪曲する韓国の知識人らの無責任な言動だけではなく、周知のとおり日本の「良心的知識人」の歪曲された歴史観にも問題を大きくした原因がありました。
いわゆる徴用工問題でも慰安婦問題でも、彼らが史実ではないことを喧伝し、韓日両国民に大きな誤解を与えてしまった。
そうした動きに対しても、安倍政権は毅然とした対応を貫いています。
いわゆる徴用工問題で、文政権に韓日請求権協定の履行を強く求めていますが、当然のことです。
私は長期的な韓日関係を考えると、むしろ早い段階で日本側が積極的な姿勢に転じたことはよかったと思っています。
これまでのように文大統領の理不尽な要求に屈していたら、健全な韓日関係はいつまで経っても築けません。
その点で、私は今後の韓日関係について楽観的なのです。
実はいま、韓国国内にも「反日は韓国の国益にならない」と考える人たちが一般の国民や政治家にも確実に増えてきています。
たとえば、保守政党の自由韓国党の鄭有燮議員や羅卿瑕代表などは、文政権の反日に疑問を呈し始めています。
私は昨年九月に、「慰安婦と労務動員労働者の銅像設置に反対する会」を、十月には「反日民族主義に反対する会」を立ち上げましたが、「反日民族主義に反対する会」の会員はすでに一千人を超えています。
会員に話を聞くと、日本に行ったことがあったり、知人に日本人がいて交流を続けていると、「韓国の教科書で教えられたこととぜんぜん違う」と言います。
事務所が襲撃される
私が勤める落星台経済研究所では、李榮薫所長や私を含む六名の研究員が共著で七月に『反日種族主義』を韓国内で発売し、すでに発行部数三万部を突破しました。
以前では考えられなかったことです。
この本で述べている「反日種族主義」とは、日本が韓国を支配した歴史に関して、今日の韓国人の通念となっている、何の事実の根拠もなしに嘘で積み上げたシャーマニズム的世界観です。
反日種族主義の起源、形成、拡散、猛威の全過程を国民に告発し、その危険性を訴えるためにこの本を企画しました。
本がここまで売れるということは、それほど「反日は間違っている」ということを感じ、「勉強したい」「他の人たちにも教えてあげたい」と考える韓国人がいるという証左だと思います。
いま夏休みの季節で、ソウルで1番大きな書店、教保文庫では売上げランキングの第一位～三位までが旅行関連の書籍ですが、第四位が本書です。
韓国で社会学のジャンルの本がここまで売れるのは極めて珍しい。
十七年前に作家の金完燮氏が『親日派のための弁明』を書き、日本でも話題になったと聞きましたが、韓国では有害図書として立ち読みできないようラップで包まれ、書店の隅っこに目立たないように置かれていました。
あの頃と比べても、韓国は明らかに変わってきています。
もちろん、本書に対する学者や専門家、読者からの批判は数多く寄せられていますが、「李宇衍が述べているこの部分がこう間違っている」と具体的な批判、反論は何一つありません。
その全てが「あいつは親日派だ」「売国奴」「土着倭寇」という罵詈雑言です。
私が七月二日にジュネーブの国連欧州本部で開かれたシンポジウムで、「ほとんどの朝鮮人労働者たちは自らの意思で日本に働きに行った」「賃金の民族差別はなかった」と史実を述べたところ、帰国後、事務所で二人の男に襲われました。
彼らは私に対して「売国奴野郎」と罵り、ツバを吐きかけましたが、そうしたことしかできないのです。
