Bizen-Yaki

This flower vase is a 'Bizen-yaki' made by the young man in Ta-ke-no-ko-mu-ra.



In Takenoko mura ('Bamboo Shoot Village' in English) , some handicapped men live together to be independent.
They grow vegitables, raise chickens and goats and so on.
They are self supporting.

Besides they learned the way to making potteries and are making Bizen Yaki now.
Their works are thought highly.

Now they sell their works　at their shop in Kurashiki.

Ground- cherries on the dish

Ground- cherries also ripened.

They look very cute on the dish.

The dish is one of the spcial products at Bizen in Okayama prefecture.

We call them ' Bizen-Yaki'.

Though they are sober, the Japanese like them and very popular.
