この "whirling dervish" は旋舞教団の事で、トルコのコンヤにあるその霊廟を訪ねた事があります。 2年前に "gyration" (circular movement: movement in a circle around a fixed center; the gyration of the rotor) を取り上げましたが、その時にも "whirling dervish" に触れました（Ref.http://blog.alc.co.jp/blog/3302827/109263）。
米国人は子供でも "whirling dervish" の事を知っているのでしょうか？
