The Nobel-prize-deciding committee in Norway announced that the 2024 Nobel Prize for Peace is given to Japan's Confederation of A- and H-bomb sufferers organizations for appealing to the world that abolition of nuclear weapons should be done by telling the terribleness of the suffering caused by nuclear bombings for 68 years. This is the second that a person of an organization from Japan has received the Nobel Peace Prize after ex-prime minister of Japan Eisaku Sato received the prize in 1974.
