It is learned that regarding the Japan's Official Development Assistance project of rebuilding the railroads in the Philippines, an official of Japan International Cooperation Agency is likely to have leaked secret information like estimated amount of money of the project to a construction consulting firm in Tokyo. The information seemed to be sent by e-mail multiple times.
That project was what the government of the Philippines ordered through the bidding of competition in 2019, and the joint venture in which the consulting firm in Tokyo participated made a successful bid. JICA disciplined the official in charge as suspension of the job for a month.
