照る日曇る日
Fine days and cloudy days:

人生は、照る日もあれば曇る日もある。幸運が巡っているときはもちろんのこと、災難に遭ったときにも、修行だと思い、自分が生かされていることに「ありがとう」と感謝することが、心を清らかにし、運命をよい方向へ導く。
In a long course of your life, there are fine days and cloudy days. You should have gratitude for being alive even in a mishap thinking it's a kind of training in your life, as well as in favorable circumstances, which would make your mind purer and led your fate to be better one.

逆境なおよし
Better in adverse circumstances:

順境なら「よし」。逆境なら「なおよし」ーーー。自分の環境、境遇を前向きに前向きにとらえ、いかなるときでも、努力を重ね、懸命に働き続けることが大切だ。
If you are in favorable circumstances, it would be good. And also, if are in adverse circumstances, it would be better. Anyway, you should think of your environment or circumstances in a positive way, and in any time, you should make efforts and keep working as hard as possible.

災難の考え方
How you should think of having a disaster:

災難に遭うことにより過去の業は消える。そこで、「ありがたい。この程度の災難ですんでよかった」と感謝し、明るい方向に考え方を変えていく。災難さえも前向きに解釈することで、運命をよい方向に変えることができる。
It is said that having some disaster makes your karma vanish. So, if you have some mishap, you should deal with it in a positive way, thinking" Oh, thanks, it would be good that the mishap has not been beyond that much." Facing even such misfortunes in a constructive way will change your fate into a good one.

天は見ている
Heaven is looking at you:

長い人生の旅路では、失望や、困難、試練のときが何度もある。しかし、それは、自分の夢の実現をめざし、すべての力を奮い起こして誠実に努力をする、またとない機会でもある。天は誠実な努力とひたむきな決意を、決して無視はしない。
There are several times of disappointment, difficulty, or hardship in a long course of your life. But those are also great opportunities for you to summon up all your strength and make an effort faithfully in order to realize your dream. Heaven will not neglect your sincere efforts and firm resolution.

高邁な志を抱く
To have a lofty desire:

何かを成そうとすれば、大きなエネルギーを必要とする。だからこそ、誰から見ても、どこから眺めても、立派だと言えるような高邁な志、目的意識がなければ、自分の持てる力のすべてを出し切ることも、周囲の人々から協力をえることも、成功を続けることもできないのである。
You need a lot of energy to accomplish something. So, unless you have a lofty desire or a clear sense of purpose which could be said to be great when it's viewed by anybody or from any angle, you could not do anything, like demonstrating all your abilities, getting supports from the people around you, or keeping on being successful.
