ハロウィンを日本で祝うようになったのは、いつからだろう？
キリスト教の行事なので、ほとんどが仏教徒の日本では昔ハロウィン自体知られていなかったと思う。
たぶんこの１０年くらい？
若者たちが仮装して、駅や東京のあちこちにいるのを目にするようになった。
テレビのニュースで渋谷の街がそんな若者たちで混雑しているのも見た。
今年はハロウィンまんじゅうを一体何個食べたことだろう。
ハロウィンまんじゅうの餡はかぼちゃ餡でおいしい。
When did we do a Halloween in Japan?

ところで、昔パリに住んでいた時、マルディグラというお祭りがあって、それがフランスのハロウィンだとずっと思っていたが、間違いだった。
なんでハロウィンと思い込んでいたのかというと、その日、道を歩く時に気をつけろと言われ、いついたずらされるかもわからないと思い、戦々恐々として歩いていたから。
