I ordered customized lanyards to go with the new office security access cards. When the lanyards arrived, at first glance they looked great. But not so much on second glance. Instead of saying "Department of Juvenile Justice," they read "Department of Juviline Gestures."

・Cambridge English Dictionary: a long piece of cord (= thick string), etc. worn around the neck, on which a security pass, ID card, key, etc. is hung: Workers wear ID badges dangling from departmental lanyards.

こんな単語があるとは、日本語では紐とかコードとしか言わないでしょうね。
