JUSTICEに出てきた"squeegee man" という言葉自体は知りませんでしたが、1983年の11月にシカゴ支店からニューヨーク本社に転勤になり、駐車場の関係でWorld Trade Centerまでの通勤には滅多に車は使いませんでしたが、それでも十数回程度車で行ったマンハッタンでは必ず "squeegee man" に遭遇しました。

Mayor Rudolph Giuliani decided to crack down on the squeegee men and ordered the police to arrest them."
