　まあ、共和党知事州ということでしょうが、にしても違法移民越境（の阻止の）問題は新たな「南北戦争」の火種になりそうなほどである。

　テキサス州が有刺鉄線を国境に張り巡らしていることに、連邦裁判所は違法の判定。してもいいけどさあ、どうすんのこの問題！？とテキサス州が怒っているわけだ。

　12月だけで30万人以上の違法移民が越境した―とある。単純に12倍すれば360万人。米国の人口の1％程度ですかね？　そのまま10年なら3600万人。ざっと10％ですか？　…持続可能な数字とも思えない。いやまあ、12月は単に記録的なだけであって、いつもは違うんですよ…という弁護は可能だが、まあそこは本質的な話ではあるまい。
