ブルキナファソ：金鉱山近くの爆発事件

　先日も短報をメモした事故だが―

BBC Burkina Faso gold mine blast kills 60 23 Feb 2022

　60名ほど死亡。バックヤードでの事故で、女子供も結構死んだようだぞ、という。…まあなあ、そりゃあそうなるだろう。

「About 60 people have died after an explosion at a makeshift gold mine in a village in south-west Burkina Faso, local officials say.

The blast happened in a market at the gold-mining site when dynamite stored there caught fire, witnesses said.」

「The goldmine has since been closed until further noticeaccording to Burkina Faso's news agency, AIB.」

　noticeとaccordingとの間に何か入るべきだったな。
　さてこの記事、詳細記事の厳しいところは以下。

「Many of the miners at the site are displaced people from elsewhere in the country, local leader Sansan Urbain Kambou told Reuters.

Burkina Faso is one of Africa's biggest gold producers, with many mines run by international firms, as well as informal ones without little oversite or regulation.」

　…なんでそんな安全管理の悪い非公然鉱山で作業しているか？　儲かるから、主力産業だから―いやそれもそうだろうが、国内避難民がなんとか身を立て、一旗揚げようとすると、こういうところになっちゃうよねえ、と…。

　つまりこれは難民問題、国内避難民問題の変奏曲なのだ。

「About a quarter of the total output is from unauthorised mines, which provide work for around 1.5 million people, the ministry estimates.」

　国に「もっと働け！」というにせよ、いやあ、国だって、これだけ儲かり、労働人口を吸収してくれる産業に…なかなか…強い態度には…。

　…国は、そりゃあよほど儲ける国有産業領域でもなければ、まあ…ねえ…と…。
