人獣共通感染症、動物から人に移る病気は大変な損失を招く恐れがあるゆえ、特段の対策・行動をなすべきだ、野生動物たちを保護し、環境を維持すべきだ―という国連の専門家のコメントがあるねという紹介記事。年間200万人くらいの損失に相当するかもよ？

とりあえずこのCovid-19がそうである。そしてなんでまた、そんな野生動物との接触があるかって、動物性たんぱく質をあまりに我々は欲しがりすぎている―というわけだ。農業・畜産業としても、ちょっと持続性が怪しいくらいに欲しがってないか―と問題提起。

そうしてこの人獣共通感染症の拡大は自動的なもんではない、と注意がある。そりゃ自動的なのなら、いまさらそんなもん、増えるってこともなかろうさ…と、そりゃあまあ思える。わしら、何年、人間やってきたんだ、ってわけだ。
そしてかの有名なエボラの話を思い起こせばよい―なんか最近、起こるペース、速くなってね？ と。
