稲藁の香りの中で In the smell of the straw of the rice plant

　稲藁さんを、干しました。
We dried the straw of the rice plant.



日本晴れのお陰様で、よく乾きました。
They have dried enough because it was wonderful fine weather.



藁の香りも、田んぼ一杯に。
The smell of straw had been filling of the rice field.



お隣さんでも、こんなふうに。
菜園用に、干されておりました。
The next also similarly dried straw for the kitchen garden.



しかしながら、ほとんどは、収穫と同時にその場でカットされて散布されます。
However, most straw is cut out then and there at the same time as harvesting and scattered.


本当に、機械化の恩恵というものは、めざましいものです。
既に、藁が鋤き込まれた田んぼさんもあり。
Really, the favor of mechanization is remarkable.
Straw had already cultivated and there was a crowded rice field, too.



現在は、実に短い間に、田園風景が一変いたします。
一部の餅米さんを残して。
広大なる藁の絨毯が、にわかに出現。
The rural scene changes completely while it is indeed short now.
The rice plant for a part of rice cake was left, and the carpet of vast straw appeared rapidly.



かつての農村では、あらゆる生活用の素材として、全ての藁は活用されておりました。
消耗品のみならず、住宅の材料としても、まことに貴重なものでした。
All straw had been used as a material for all lives in the farm village before.
They were valuable as not only the articles of consumption but also the material of the house.



現在でも、時々、まとまった量の藁の需要はございます。
伝統工法の建築の土壁用に。
そんな時には、前の年から、皆さんのご協力が不可欠です。
There is demand for settled amount of straw though it is occasional now.
In that case, I should get your cooperation from the previous age however for the clay wall of the construction of the traditional construction method.



ともかくお陰様で、明日に向かって皆さん歩き出しました。
有り難い藁の香りの中で、深呼吸させて頂きました。
At any rate, you seem to have begun to walk by the favor externals toward tomorrow.
I breathed deeply in the smell of welcome straw.
