Major companies likely will increase their employment of new graduates next spring. According to a recent survey on employment and wages of major companies carried out and compiled by The Nihon Keizai Shimbun, 28 % of respondents, one of four companies, said that they will increse their employment of new graduates from universities and colleges next spring compared with this spring. Among these companies, ten companies,including KDDI, want to increase their hiring by more than 30 percent.Twelve percent of respondents replied that they are deliberating on raising their starting salaries against the backdrop of fierce competition for good human resouces.
