A major automaker DaimlerChrysler AG said Monday that it reached an ageement with the U.S. investment fund firm Cerberus Capital Management LP that it will sell out its money-losing unit the U.S. Chrysler Group to Cerberus for 900 billion yen(5.5 euros).The deal is to be complete by the end of September.Specifically,a holding company Chrysler Holding will be established and the 80.1% of its satke will be held by Cerberus. The remaining stake will be held by Daimlerchrysler.This time's deal is a stunning reversal of the 1998 $ 36 billion merger of Chrysler by the then DaimlerBenz AG, which was at that time touted as the century's merger.
