It is learned that a number of major companies will raise this summer's bonuses for their employees. According to a survey on the 2007 wage trend compiled by The Nihon Keizai Shimbun on May 13 on a preliminary basis(as of April 26),the total of this year's summer bonuses will increase by 3.05 % from the previous year,which is the fifth consecutive increase.Against the backdrop of their brisk business results,weighted average of the bonus payment at companies in the automobile and steel industries is certain to become the one-million yen level.
