Kobe Steel will advance to India and put its original steel-making technology into practical use.The company has been struggling to originally develop a new method in producing steels,which can reduce material costs,including iron ore cost,to the third of the current usual costs when the exsisting blast furnace is used in making steels.The company will invest some 20 billion yen to the plant in India,and the production there will begin around 2009,with the 500 thousand metric tons per year level expected.
